The Union also lauded the efforts of the National Chief Imam who has been described as ‘Father for all’ in promoting peace and unity amongst various sections of Ghanaian communities for decades with a high level of integrity and dedication to humanity.

They also pledged to continuously support the National Chief Imam’s office during Islamic festivities to enable them to also extend a hand to the ‘have not’ in society.

The National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu thanked the Union for the gesture.

He offered prayers for members of the Union and asked for God’s protection and guidance in all aspects of their work especially the thought of supporting the less-priviledged in society despite the challenges businesses continue to face due to the deadly disease.

“Your donation has come at the right time when we are still praying and fasting. God should bless you and eliminate this deadly disease for you to be able to work efectively”. he added

The Islamic cleric who is a global icon for peace prayed for Ghana and its neighbouring countries stating that inspite of the differences in individuals religious persuasions, Ghanaians continue to live peacefully among themselves.
