Not too long ago, Sista Afia who is now one of the names to mention when it comes to afrobeat and highlife music openly disclosed how desperate she was to hit the studios with Ghana’s most awarded rapper, Sarkodie.
The ‘Slay Queen’ hit maker further revealed that her love for Mr. Michael Owusu is so strong that she gets nervous anytime she comes close to him.
Expressing her joy after finally working with Sarkodie on his maiden Blacklove album in an interview monitored by Bra Eddie of NewsTowerGh, Sista Afia revealed that, being on the same beat with Sarkodie is a dream come true for her. According to her, it has always been her biggest wish to work with the rapper.
On how much she charged before jumping on Sarkodie’s chat topping #Broken Heart song, the bootylicious artiste said the Sarkodie’s brand is so big that you don’t think about money when he approach you for a collaboration.
“I’ve loved Sarkodie since his ‘borga borga’ days. I remember how I cried when I was denied access to one of his shows back in the State because I was late. I’ve always hoped to work with him so money didn’t even cross my mind when he called me for the feature”. She revealed with smiles all over her face.
