Renowned Pathologist and Board Chair of the Prudential Life Insurance Ghana Prof Agyeman Badu Akosa has revealed that his outfit at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital records about 80% of death cases being people below ages of 60 years. For this reason,he is calling on the National Insurance Commission to review the age limit for insureres.
Prof. Badu Akosa has advised Ghanaians to take insurance policies more seriously by insuring their properties against any eventualities.
According to him, many people did not recognise the need for insurance until they encountered accidents, a situation she described as disturbing.
He added that measures must always be in place to reduce and support uncertainties in business and human life, the fear of sudden loss should not be a phenomenon which should worry us constantly.
Prof. Agyemang Badu Akosa said this during the launch of PRUWEALTH PLAN by the Prudential Life Insurance Ghana an innovative product that enables Ghanaians to realize their financial goals and protect their families from life’s uncertainties.
The of Actuarial Unit at the National Insurance Commission(NIC), Albert Oko Dagadu explained that they as regulators are always ready to assist policy holders.
He added that insurance serves as a risk protection mechanism therefore everyone must be protected by purchasing an insurance policy that meet our needs.
