As part of activities marking the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Israel King of Jews church, the church has held a fun day games in Accra to help forster unity and draw the attention of the youth to embark on regular exercises to remain healthy.

Over 500 youths from the church thronged the Kisseman community park to compete for various medals and trophy. The contest included Video football game, Soccer tournament, Eating Competition and Tug of Peace.

CFC won the match 3-1 for their splendid performance to emerge as the winner against Christ Ambassador to lift the trophy at the end of a fiercely contested 50 minutes game.

They received a trophy as champions while Christ Ambassador and Salvation were both awarded with a medal for securing the second and third positions respectively.

The competition began with a football gala at the group stage with four teams namely CFC , Salvation Army, Dreams Chasers (DC), and Christ Ambassador

winners and first and second runner ups in the eating competition, Tug of War in both male and female categories were also rewarded for their outstanding performance.

The General Overseer and founder of the Israel King of Jews church, Prophet Nakoa Nazareth, addressing the youths at the end of the competitions also reiterated the need for the youth to exercise regularly in order to help them stay healthy.

He said that aside the commemoration of the 20th anniversary, the event was also held to forster unity amongst the youths.

He also lauded the performance of the youths who participated in the various sports desciplines and observed “I am impressed with the performance of these children and optimistic that the participants can represent Ghana at the international front if they choose to be athletes”.

Prophet Nakoa Nazareth also admonished the youths not neglect the word of God in their desire to acquire wealth but should rather “seek first the kingdom of God and is righteousness all other things, including riches shall be added”.

The youth leader of the church, Pastor Michael Tutu also expressed excitement that the objective of the event was achieved. The youth also undertook other activities such as clean – up exercise, and health Screening.

A thanksgiving service was also held to climax the anniversary on sunday at the church.
