The member of parliament for Asunafo North Constituency, who remains the first ever Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Evans Opoku-Bobie has donated a colossal amount of money to support the renovation of Asunafo North Municipal Hospital. He made this donation when the Municipal Hospital organised a community durbar in Aid of raising funds to renovate the Municipal Hospital at the Regional Capital-Goaso.

The Hospital administration, Traditional leaders and the Municipal Assembly played a pivotal role in this historic durbar.

Hon. Evans Opoku-Bobie was invited as the Guest of Honor for the occasion. The Minister addressed the audience in a gleeful mood by urging every tom, dick and harry at the occasion to take their personal health very serious by keeping their environment clean and green to prevent some common diseases in their surroundings.

The Minister emphasised that, quality healthcare is basic for our survival as a society. This is part of the reasons why he has started building a special ward in his capacity as the member of parliament for the Area. Despite the construction of the special ward, Hon. Evans Opoku-Bobie donated Gh10,000.00 to support the renovation.

He pledged his dogged support to the successful completion of some of the wards and nurses quarters. He appeal to various NGOs and civil societies to contribute their quota as part of their Coorperate Social Responsibility.

He advised nurses and midwives to always welcome their patients with smile and not be hostile because of their condition.

In another candelabrum, he urged each and everyone who visits a hospital for medical attention should not see the nurses as their enemies because they are there for them.

Hon. Bobie stated categorically that H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president of the Republic of Ghana is highly committed in this sector that is why he has restored the Nursing Training Allowances and recruited hundreds of nurses within his two and half years in government.

It is evidently clear that, the second term of President Akufo-Addo will be an overflow of hard and soft infrastructure at all sectors particularly the Health sector. The Municipal Chief Executive of Asunafo North, Hon. Yaw Osei Boahen expressed the Assembly’s commitment of ensuring quality health delivery.
