Parliament will on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, query Mr Ambrose Dery, the Interior Minister on what measures the Ministry was putting in place to reduce armed robbery in Ghana.

The scheduled query is contained in the Business Statement for next week, the fifth week of the second meeting of the third session of the seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, presented to the House on Friday.

Armed robbery has become one of the current security issues in Ghana as robbers continue to unleash attacks on people.

Apart from armed robbery, the House will also ask questions on finance.

Mr Peter Nortsu- Kortoe, MP for Akatsi North and Ranking Member on the Committee on Education will ask why the Ministry of Finance failed to release to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) its appropriated funds for August to November 2018 and January to May 2019 to enable the GETFund meet its obligations.

The House would also engage the Finance Minister on judgment debts, as Mr Mohammed Abdul-Aziz, MP for Mion Constituency would ask the Finance Minister how much Government paid in judgment debt from January 2017 to date.

The Finance Minister is also scheduled to give answers to the House, when Mr Ernest Norgbey, MP for Ashaiman Constituency would ask why the Public Procurement Authority was charging company registration fees without parliamentary approval.

The Minister would also receive a query from Mr Yaw Frimpong Addo, MP for Manso Adubia Constituency, on what has been the overall impact of reforms introduced by the Ghana Revenue Authority at the ports of entry in the revenue mobilisation drive of the Ministry.

Questions on road construction in different constituencies would also be fired to the Minister of Roads and Highways next week Friday.

There would be statements on issues of national interest; and bill papers and reports presented to the House.

The Vigilantism and Related Offences Bill, 2019 would be taken through consideration, and read for the third time.

Committees of the House would also hold meetings
